Aspertus: New Cloud Name

Today I came across this website which talks about a new cloud name. Aspertus is a new cloud type according to Gavin Pretor-Pinney of the Cloud Appreciation Society.

Aspertus in Latin means ‘rough‘. Pinney is currently working with the Royal Meteorological Society to have aspertus officially classified by the World Meteorological Organisation.
