Good Morning! (Na lang.)

Last night I went to visit my kids, Carhrihl and Josef, who were staying with my mother-in-law for quite some time now. My kids insisted I should sleep there, so I gave-in. Early this morning, I woke up to the sound of footsteps and the smell of alcohol in the living room.

And I saw him standing near the bathroom door. Elise, my sister-in-law, asked me if I wanted to use the bathroom. She told me that someone else was using it. If it was not her mom, or my ex inside the bathroom who could it be? I wondered.

I made a wild guess. It was his second girlfriend that’s inside the bathroom. Second girlfriend is the fat one. The first girlfriend is the one with the baby.

While waiting for the girlfriend to finish, the guy stood by the bathroom door as if he was guarding some treasure. He avoided looking at me. But I wanted to talk to him. Josef’s birthday is coming up and I don’t want to do all the effort of planning for our kid’s birthday this time. So I asked him about his plans for our son’s birthday.

“ambot,” he said. I honestly deserved a good answer than that, right?

So I tried again. I told him that I was thinking that we could celebrate Josef’s birthday this weekend. We could go to the beach or to the mall.

“It’s up to you”, he said. He didn’t even look at me.

I walked into the living room and sat on the chair. I was disgusted.

Hello?! I was just trying to be as civil as possible. And I was not asking you to marry me again or something! I was asking you about OUR son’s birthday! Is that so hard to understand? Even if we broke-up three years ago, we could still be great parents to our three kids, right?!

I don’t care if your fat girlfriend was there because as far as I know, I had all the right to be in that house at that very moment. Whether you like it or not, I am still your children’s mother. And legally, yes I’m still your goddamn wife!

Second girlfriend came out of the bathroom. Stared at me. I stared back. She went inside the bedroom. With my husband.

What a good morning to start my day!

P.S. My mother-in-law suggested that I should see the kids everyday. Doing so might keep the thick-faced gf away from the house. I doubt it. If second gf is not even intimidated by my mother-in-law’s presence, what power do I have over second gf?
